New firmware update is available for download from isatphonelive.com/support with immediate effect.
The new firmware version 5.3.0 fixes a fault with versions 5.1.0 and 5.2.0 that causes the battery not to charge when turned off, affecting a limited number of IsatPhone Pro handsets shipped after 7 September 2012.
This is a mandatory firmware upgrade. It supersedes version 5.2.0, which had a deadline for mandatory update of 30 June 2013. Given the replacement of firmware version 5.2.0 with 5.3.0, the upgrade deadline has been extended to 31 December 2013.
Inmarsat recommends that customers upgrade their phones to version 5.3.0 or higher at the earliest opportunity (or 5.2.0 or higher for handsets shipped before 7 September 2012).
All phones must upgrade by the extended deadline of 31 December 2013 or the user will experience problems connecting to the network.
