Agreement for Consulting with the official project management society of Äquatorial Guinea

Via the embassy in Madrid the managing directors Hans Pitschko and Klaus Wohlfart were invited by the government of Äquatorial Guinea. The nation is located near the equator and the capitol city is named Malabo and located on the island Bioko in the Atlantic ocean in front of Cameroon.

The visit took place form the 17th to the 23rd. January 2005. Because of our visit the government expressed the wish for a intensive cooperation with Germany.

The board of directors were escorted by Dietmar Sahler and his wife Gabi Makoli Sahler. She made the contact with the embassy and was a great help during the journey because she was in born in Äquatorial Guina and so she has a great knowledge of the country, the culture and the language. Mrs. Esther Alonso Fernandez acted as our interpreter.

Following projects shall be realized in the future: Building of an airport in BATA (Biggest City on the mainland), Bulding of a hospital, Water supply and disposal and building of new streets. At the meeting with president Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo on the 19th January 2005 the managing directors of GESAT suggested to have a look at environmental problems witch could be solved with recycling and garbage incineration in combination with a thermic power plant.

The Management could sign a agreement for consulting with the official project development society. We shall escort upcoming projects from the very beginning till the finalisation phase. Therefore it is necessary to choose the German project partners, control the planning and commissioning as well as the cost structure and the progress.

The government of Äquatorial Guina and president Mbasogo would appreciate a state visit in the near future.
