08.2004		10 years GESAT-KNOW-HOW in china 10 years ago GESAT engineers were responsible for the successful engineering, commissioning and set up supervising of the automation systems of a seamless steel tube mill in china. As a consequence of this successful teamwork with the Chinese customers the order intake of Chinese projects was rising. Since 6 years GESAT operates the "GESAT Shanghai Representative Office" for all belongs of the different project steps to support the Chinese customers and the foreign supplier. 05.2004		New at Hit Radio FFH: Faster on air with satellite transmission car If journalists from the private radio station HIT RADIO FFH come along with their new satellite transmission car it is always a sensation. The Vauxhall Zafira is equipped with overpackaging technology. A satellite dish delivered from GESAT is on board as well. With this modern equipment the journalists are on air faster. "It is great fun to work with our new satellite transmission car because we can report live very fast and in extraordinary quality from places with no connection for mobiles" told FFH journalist Stefan Pommerenke. The technik boss of FFH said: "The satellite dish connects automatically with an Inmarsat satellite and is operateable even during drive." The dish is mounted under a radom and is not damageable by wind and rain. With the satellite telephone a ISDN plug with a transfer rate of 64 Kb/s is available. Live reports in studio quality are transferred via this connection. (Stereo, 15 KHz) Even applications like email and Internet can be used because of the satellite connection. Beside a command facility the car is equipped with a radio microphone. With this technology the journalist can transfer reports live to the FFH station via the car from up to 300 meters distance. A used part of the equipment was a Inmrasat ISDN station delivered by GESAT. Lucky Gorschlüter, the chief of production told that this station was existential for the project. 30.06.2003		Iraq mission of videophones with mobile satellite transmission of embedded journalist Uli Klose, RTL Television RTL journalist Uli Klose and his cameraman Paul Rubin where embedded journalists and joined the US army from Kuwait to Baghdad. Surely you have seen their documentations on RTL. For their transmissions they used our videophones with two Inmrasat ISDN stations as well as a notebook for "Store and forward transmissions". The complete equipment for television transmissions was lighter than 25 kg. On the photo you can see Paul Rubin during a transmission in a sandstorm in the south of Baghdad. 20.08.2001		Pursue an exciting project: A group of ambitious scientists sat down it to the target to protect the white stork. A substantial part of this complex project consists of pursuing the birds on their annual flight from Switzerland over south Europe until west Africa. This will become possible by satellite telemetry (sender as "backpack" on the stork). The results, reports and pictures via Inmarsat - ISDN are directly transferred into the European head office and in the Internet.
