In principle all ruggedised notebooks specified here have the following advantages:
  • long battery life (>5h)
  • serial interface
  • no data loss if the notebooks fall down from a desk or come in contact with water (CF-52 restricted)

  • not IP54, but: keyboard and touchpad water resistant; withstands drops from a height of 76cm (non-operating)

  • the keyboard needs a little exercise for higher clerical work

3.) for the very tough cases:
Rocky II+, III+, IV+:
This notebooks are manufactured individually and mostly used by the military.
